A Fun and Relaxed Photo Session for Your Child

You might worry whether your child will cooperate during a family photo session. Children, particularly younger ones, might not always be in the mood for a photo shoot. You might worry about your child becoming restless and fussy during the session.

This is where a professional photographer comes in. Experienced in working with children, we know how to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Through our discovery session beforehand, we learn about your child’s interests and demeanour. With this knowledge, we engage your child’s interest and make the session fun for them.

Are family portraits indoors or outdoors?

There are a few options. Studio sessions are more intimate and easy to account for weather. Outdoor sessions are great for children of certain ages. Check our blog for a detailed explanation.

Where can we have a family session?

Many Sydney families prefer to have their session in our Coogee studio. It’s easy and comfortable, and you get great photographs that match any modern home decor. We also have sessions in a range of Eastern Suburbs locations. There are also great places in Sydney Centennial Park for larger groups. Talk to us for more ideas.

How long does a family session take?

The duration of a family session varies depending on the number of members and the location of the shoot. Typically, sessions last between 1-1.5 hours.

Do you include parents and siblings in the photoshoot?

Yes, we believe in including parents and siblings in the family photoshoot to capture the joy and celebration of your new baby. We understand that as your child grows up, they will cherish the memories of their entire family together. We will work with you to plan and capture different combinations so that no one is left out.

What if there is inclement weather?

In the event of bad weather, we understand that it can affect the outcome of outdoor sessions, so we always keep an eye on the weather forecast. The humidity is bad for hair, and makes children uncomfortable.
If we anticipate unfavorable weather conditions, we will work with you to either reschedule the session for a better time or move it indoors to our studio. We will discuss all possible options with you when you book your session to ensure that we have appropriate contingencies in place.

When do I get to see my photographs?

We know you’re excited to see your famliy photographs, so we won’t make you wait for weeks. Instead, we offer a same-day Design Consultation in the studio following your shoot. During this session, you’ll get to see all the beautiful images we’ve created and place your order for artwork.
