Valent was our photographer for both our maternity and newborn baby session. It was our first child and a very exciting time for us.
We firstly captured some stunning pregnancy shots with the sunrise over the beach. We got up early and arrived when the sky was still dark! We loved the beautiful colors of the sky that Valent captured.

The best time to capture your pregnancy is between 30-34 weeks. Your belly is a good size, but not too big. Check our blog for a detailed explanation why this is the best time. Where does the pregnancy session take place?
Maternity sessions can be held in our Eastern Suburbs studio, or a range of outdoor locations in Sydney. We have sessions at Coogee and Maroubra beach, Little Bay, La Perouse, and some park sessions at a range of locations within Centennial Park. It all depends on the story you want to tell.
What is a pregnancy progression session?
Progression sessions capture your belly regularly from as early as 12 weeks all the way to your main session. You can see your belly grow in a beautiful way. This is included as part of your maternity experience with us.
How long does a photoshoot take?
It depends on our planning and what you want to wear. Most sessions last 1-1.5 hours. A little longer if you’re also doing boudoir & glamour as part of your session.
Do you provide props?
We have some sheer materials and wraps you can use. We also have simple timeless props we can show you when you visit the studio. However, the best things to include in images are items that have meaning for you. We’ll explore with you and give you ideas of what to use in your session. We’ve also partnered with a rental company so you can have access to a huge range of dresses for your photoshoot, should you wish.
When do I get to see my photographs?
No more waiting for weeks. We have your Design Consultation in the studio the same afternoon of your shoot. You will see all the beautiful images we’ve created and order your artwork. We’ll guide you on the different finishes and materials, and you’ll see it all in life size. Everything is fully guided, and you can go home with one less thing to worry about.
