We came for a baby shoot with our 4 month old. It was a really fun experience. We went from Valent first taking us around to the studio and showing us the place. It was very professional and we could see a lot of samples of the kind of photos we could get.
After that we came in to do an actual photo shoot session. On the day we arrived, Valent made us feel really comfortable. Valent had a lot of good ideas, the session actually went a lot faster than we initially thought!
When we came in for the photos, they were really awesome. I think they turned out beyond our expectations to be honest. And now looking at the final photos the print quality is really really good and we're really happy with them.
We had a very relaxed session. Valent was exceptional with Thomas. You could tell that he's a parent himself, the way he dealt with him, and got him to settle better than us.
The approach to the photography session was not just about taking a photo of him or us, it was more about kind of trying to capture our relationship and the connections we have with him. It was a really positive experience and hopefully something we come back to more and more.

We never had any experience with any professional photographer before and the experience we had with Valent Lau Photography was extra ordinary. He took care and time to ensure that we were comfortable. He did not rush the job. You would not be making a mistake to use Valent Lau Photography and you will be taken care of by a professional.
Valent was very professional, arriving on time and very friendly. He takes his photography very seriously and captures each photo at its best - the light, angle and arrangement. He took some great photos of our special event which we will treasure for many years to come. The custom mobile app is a great way of showcasing the images too.
My wife and I came in to see Valent to get photos taken of our 5 week old son. Initially we just wanted to get a few casual shots, we didn't think we'd want many. In the end we were very happy with all the photos we got. Valent made us very relaxed throughout the whole process. He got to know us and understand us and our relationship with our son. We were very very happy and got some wonderful photos.
My partner and I had a lovely photo session with Valent the results were some lovely photos. We were able to bounce ideas off him and bring our own flavour into the photos. He was very receptive to our needs throughout the process. We especially enjoy the process of choosing the pictures on a large projector screen - that part was really fun!

I think Valent is really highly detailed in everything he does. When you have a kid, there are so many things happening around the kids and you have baby brain. It's really good to have his input when he was taking the pictures. Valent gives direction, but also helps you feel what you want to capture.
When he was handing our newborn who was just 13 days old, Valent was extremely careful. You could tell he had experience with babies because he didn't disturb the baby at all, he was happy and kept sleeping all the way through.
